Finacial and Physical Fitness

Fitness can come in many forms. Sometimes we need to be financially fit before we become physically fit or visa versa. The point is that both are necessary. I am a Certified Personal Trainer and have seen the out right lies that are told to you and me about fitness. You don’t need to slave over hours of tedious exercise and starve yourself to get fit. All you truly need to do is do a total body workout three days a week, (or even two days if your just starting), and throw in some cardio at least two days a week in between. If you are spending more than 35 minutes a session working out you are wasting your time.

A good beginner total body workout consists of: squats, chest press. rows, curls, tricep extension, and bent over shoulder flies. Each exercise is done for 8 to 12 reps, one right after the other. That would be one circuit. Depending on your fitness level, you would do 2 or 3 circuits. This could be followed by a 20 minute cardio session. Please remember to warm up first by doing the above circuit with lighter resistance and stretching after warm up and at the end of the exercise session. The neat thing is you don't have to spend a fortune on equipment to get started. Exercise bands can serve as your entire gym. They are inexpensive and your body doesn't know the difference between free weights or bands. Resistance is resistance.

Now, as far as the financial fitness; all I can say is I own a modest house and 3 vehicles, a 94 dodge Dakota (I use it for hauling trash), a 01 Montero Sport and a 04 Toyota Corolla. We are debt free except for the house and thank God because I just got laid off from my day job.

I tell you all this because I want for you what I want for myself; Security for my family and peace of mind. I believe I have found something that will get me there. Lets embark on this journey together and see if we can’t help one another along the way.
